Welcome to London Borough of Harrow, United Kingdom

About the area

Harrow is home to one of Britain's finest public schools, Harrow School, based in Harrow on the Hill. It offers its students three different guided tours during the term-time. A village atmosphere prevails in areas such as Pinner and Stanmore, and there is a plethora of fine buildings dating back to medieval times. The Harrow Museum and Heritage Centre is housed within the XVI century tithe barn and XIV century manor, with museum exhibits that include rooms in Victorian and early XX century styles. For shoppers, the St Ann's and St George's shopping centres, located in Harrow town centre, offer a wide range of stores.

The borough of Harrow takes the 12th place by area size.

One of the local public school is known more than others – seven British Prime Ministers graduated from it. Winston Churchill is among them. Some scenes of the Harry Potter movies were shot here as well.

Indians make up more than 20% of the local population. That is the highest index within London. In general, it is fair to say that Harrow is very diverse religiously.

Harrow would be a great place to live for people fond of cultural diversity.

Thank You!
